Reaction to Max Schulman's "Love Is A Fallacy"

Max Schulman's "Love Is A Fallacy" has a different approach on the readers. The story is one of a kind.It is very unpredictable unlike the other stories wherein the main character always have a so-called happy-ending.Predictable stories would bore down the readers to death. But you can't say all these in this story by Max Schulman and I really admire him for making this.I think this story tells us not just a funny situation, what the different fallacies are,but it gives us morals as well. This story is gripping and definitely amazing. It speaks to the heart than to the head. This story did not just entertain the readers but helped us grow as well.Max Schulman have something of a bully pulpit for communicating his worldview, values and humor to his readers. He slashed his way through the thickets of unique situations.I was really blown away by his story. It really gives the readers the sheer joy.

"A wise person is hungry for truth, while the fool feeds on trash.Sensible children bring joy to their father while foolish children despise their mother."(proverbs 15:14,20)

Imagine a very intelligent, keen and logical young man ending up as the dumbest among the three of them when the two,his roommate(Petey)and his admired girl(Polly Espy)were the real dumbs. He wanted Polly to be his wife because he thought he had found a virtuous and capable wife.He thought she was worth more than precious rubies and that she will not hinder him but help him all her life, even though,he knows,Polly is not as intellegent or even half as intelligent as he is.But he really want her though and would do anything in this world to transform and make her his perfect partner. He made it through the nights telling Polly the different fallacies which are very logical.Even if the first night was,as expected, hopeless,he never gave up.Until came the time that he did not realize he had made a monster out of Polly and when he had had the chance to tell her his real intension, she made a fool out of him. When he ought to be the one to fool, now his the one being fooled. This story was not a testimony of love and was demonstrated by Polly ,who chose her fellow dumb,Petey. She chose him,not because she loves or even like him but, believe it or not, because only and only because he had a raccoon coat which made him feel he is one of the 'Big Men'.Yeah,I know. The dumbest thing you probably have heard of.The young man's love for Polly was wasted and he could not do anything but accept it.
